A man in Texas has recently plead guilty following his actions in 2020 that led to the passing of an 8 year old child. Here's what is known at the time of writing.

What Were Original Details Of The Case?

According to ABC News, the case began in the year 2020. Per police reports, officers were alerted to a situation in Odessa, Texas on August 29, 2020. The case in question concerned the passing of an eight year old child. Law enforcement revealed the child was disciplined for something by having to jump on a trampoline.

As revealed by the department:

“Investigation revealed that the 8-year-old child had been punished and was not allowed to eat breakfast and was required to jump on the trampoline without stopping for an extended period of time... Further investigation revealed that the 8-year-old child was not allowed to drink any water because she was not jumping.”

In addition, police were able to get a search warrant as well. When they examined the area around the trampoline and the trampoline itself, it was discovered that the ground was a staggering 150 degrees, and the trampoline at 110 degrees.

The young child's cause of death was also revealed to be dehydration following autopsy being performed. Both of the child's guardians at the house, Daniel and Ashley Schwarz were arrested.

What Were The Punishments For Ashley And Daniel Schwarz?

As reported by KOSA, Ashley's punishment was given out in 2023. Her penalty was three life sentences on the charge of capital murder. Daniel's trial, which was after Ashley's, resulted in a plea deal.

Daniel's plea deal resulted in an 18 year prison sentence. At the time of writing, he has spent 313 days in prison already. If more information is reported, we will have it here.
