Temple Independent School District has announced that Azzie Knox will be the new head coach for the Temple High School girls’ basketball team. The 2003 graduate’s reputation speaks for itself. During her time at Temple, she earned First Team All-District 13-5A honors and was selected for the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-Region Team, all while averaging 10 points per game. Knox’s qualifications extend far beyond high school accolades. Not only did she go on to accomplish remarkable things, including playing professional basketball overseas, but she also discovered her true passion in coaching once her playing days were over.
