Calling All Dog Owners: Temple Is Where to Take Your Pup for a Swim on September 6
According to TDT News, your pups can enjoy some fun in the sun on Saturday mornings in Temple, Texas. Even though summertime is officially over, the Texas heat lingers. This makes it especially important to protect our furry friends from overheating and the dangers of hot pavement, which can be harsh on their sensitive paws.

Next Saturday, there will be two opportunities to enjoy the sunshine safely with your best friend. One of them is Dunkin’ Doggies, a Temple Parks and Recreation event hosted at Lion Junction Waterpark. The event celebrates the end of summer by giving pups a chance to splash around and cool off. Emelie Palma, spokesperson for the City of Temple, explained that each year, the city drains the pools at the end of the season—making it the perfect time to host a fun and unique event for the dog-loving community. She added that the event brings pet owners from across Temple together and provides a great bonding experience for residents and their dogs, while highlighting the special role pets play in the community.
