The City of Killeen has released its proposed Fiscal Year 2026–2027 Annual Action Plan for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The plan outlines how the city intends to use the federal funding to address local housing and community development needs.

When Is the Deadline For Killeen Residents?

Residents have until July 28 to submit their comments and provide feedback on the proposal. Community Development Executive Director Tiffanie McNair said public input is essential to ensuring the funds are used where they can make the greatest impact for Killeen residents.McNair added, "We encourage residents to review the plan and share their feedback on the programs and projects proposed for the upcoming year."

How to Vote on Killeen’s Newest Community Development and Housing Priorities

Residents who would like to voice their opinions can submit comments in person at the Community Development Department, located at 802 N. 2nd Street, Building E, by mail to P.O. Box 1329, Killeen, TX 76540, or by email at communitydevelopment@killeentexas.gov.A public hearing on the proposed plan will be held in the Killeen City Council Chambers, located at 101 N. College Street, with the meeting scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
