Popular Squishy Toy Under Recall Due to Serious Threat to Kids

(Lafayette, Louisiana) - We have another recall that you need to be aware of if you have small kids, and it involves the popular squishy toy.

It seems like every kid is in love with these squeeze toys these days, and now another one of these popular toys is under recall because it can lead to serious injury or perhaps death.

The latest recall includes 276 Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun Toys, imported by Toyworld168, Inc.

This comes after an earlier recall involving the same type of squeeze toys that pose a danger to young kids.

According to the recall, these toys contain water beads. If a kid ingests them, they could expand within the child’s body and cause choking and intestinal obstruction. In the event that these beads are consumed or swallowed, it may result in severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration, and a risk of death for a child.

Sure, many older kids and adults know you should never put these types of squeeze toys in your mouth, but most younger kids aren't aware of the danger, which is why this recall was issued.

If you have these squishy toys in your home, keep them out of reach of young kids and never let them play with them. I have personally seen our 7-year-old accidentally burst one at home, and it's not only a mess, but also a hazard.

The recall states that the Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun Toys are translucent green, contain glitter and water beads, and have a cartoon face.

The popular toy is sold in a tan container that resembles a bamboo steamer, with “Rainbow MYSTERY” and “SUGAR EDITION” printed on the label.

So, if you have these at home and have young kids, dispose of them so they don't put anyone in danger, or contact Toyworld168 for a full refund. Write “RECALLED” in permanent marker on the toy and its container, then throw it away.
