(Tyler, Texas) Tyler Animal Services is waiving dog and cat adoption fees during September for people who donate 10 jars of peanut butter to support the East Texas Food Bank. The promotion is part of the annual Spread the Love Peanut Butter Drive, which pits Tyler against Longview in a friendly September competition to fight hunger.

How the Tyler Pet Adoption Promotion Works

Tyler Animal Services will be accepting jars of peanut butter and offering no-cost dog and cat adoptions during September. Although dogs love licking peanut butter, all peanut butter collected will go to the East Texas Food Bank and count toward Tyler's total in the competition.

Dogs and Cats Looking for Homes in Tyler

Tyler Animal Services currently has nearly a dozen cats and two dozen dogs in its care that are looking for a new family to call their own. Pet ownership is a responsibility, but it's extremely rewarding. As a dog owner, you'll be greeted by an excited dog with a wagging tail when you come home. As a cat owner, your lap will be filled with a ball of fur as they love up on you.

There are kittens as young as 2 months to cats up to 2 years old available for adoption. Dogs range from puppies a couple of months old to dogs as old as 7. While receiving great care and shelter at Tyler Animal Services, these animals deserve more love and a place to call their own.

Tyler Animal Services Adoption Fees and Location

Stop by the store, pick up 10 jars of peanut butter, and get to Tyler Animal Services at 4218 Chandler Highway to visit with these dogs and cats, fall in love with one of them, and save money on the adoption fee. Standard adoption fees are $120 for dogs and $80 for cats. All animals that are adopted from Tyler Animal Services are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations.
