Texans Trust People in These Professions the Least
I would be willing to bet my paycheck that you will wholeheartedly agree with the results of a study to reveal the least trusted professions in Texas. I know I sure do.
It must suck to have spent your adult life building a career only to find out most people don’t trust those who work in your field. It’s especially bad if it’s something that was once considered a trustworthy occupation, like a TV or newspaper reporter. Unfortunately, those are two of the least trusted professions, according to 24/7 Wall Street.

However, the bright side is that they’re not the absolute least trustworthy professions.
No, the least trusted professions are two that have always been associated with trust issues: lobbyists and members of Congress. It makes sense because the two professions go hand-in-hand. Shady lobbyists line the pockets of greedy, crooked politicians in order to get favors from them.
That’s why we have politicians who make less than $200,000 per year but are worth tens of millions of dollars. The math doesn’t add up, does it? Either they’re genius investors or are on the take. My guess is the latter rather than the former.
Now, if you’re one of the good politicians who truly serves the interests of the people rather than those with special interests, good for you. You’re the exception to the rule.
