Inaugural Silo District Marathon Raises Money for Cancer Research

KWTX is reporting that the race was hosted by the former "Fixer Upper" stars Chip and Joanna Gains.
100% of the profits went to the Brave like Gave Foundation in honor of professional runner Gabriele Grunewald. Gabe has been fighting a rare form of cancer since 2009.
The day included 3 events...a 5K run, 13.1 mile half-marathon, and a full 26.2 mile full marathon. Gabe finished first among all female competitors, and 3rd overall in the 5K run with a time of 19:46.
