It won't be long before you'll be able to buy a refreshing cup of lemonade as Lemonade Day returns to Central Texas during the first weekend in May.

The season officially kicked off this weekend at Fort Hood with a superhero-themed event that allowed parents to register their kids for the upcoming weekend. Parents registered their kids while Garrison Commander Col. Henry Perry spoke to those in attendance.

Not only is it cool to see all the street corners decorated with Lemonade stands but its also a fun way for kids to learn a little bit about starting their own business.

Crista Zamora was at the Fort Hood kickoff event and told KWTX News 10, "We saw all of the stuff about it up this year. She was excited to do it. She's into the whole business stuff, getting money, type of registering, type of thing. I thought it would be a good experience to go ahead and try it this year."
