Food For Families Happens Today All Around Central Texas

It's the single biggest food drive in the state of Texas, and it's happening now.

Food For Families will be accepting all non-perishable food products, such as canned meats, canned vegetables, cereals, baby food, peanut butter, dry beans, rice, flour, sugar, corn meal, pasta, and pasta sauces, until 8pm this evening.

Drop off point in Temple is at the north end of Scott & White parking lot. You bring in your items;

Members of the National Guard collect them.

They are then sorted and packed.

Then loaded on an semi-truck bed.

Other pickup points include the HEB in Belton and Copperas Cove, plus the Special Events Center on South W.S. Young in Killeen.
