Fixer Upper’s From Magnolia Market in Waco Make North Dakota Couple Come Visit

My parents came for a visit from North Dakota. They only had one request, to go to Waco to see Magnolia Market.

I then asked "what the hell is Magnolia Market?"

My Mom said it was one of her favorite shows on HGTV.

I said "I'd never heard of it, but if that's what you want, you got it."

Turns out they were featured on local news that very night. The local news says that the couple, Chip & Joanna Gaines, are changing the way the nation sees the city of Waco. No more Branch Dividians. No more murdered basketball player. And no more motorcycle shoot outs. Now it's barn doors or something.

I punched it in to the phone GPS, and away we went.

Found it easy enough. And we weren't the only people looking for it. Since they were featured on the news the night before, they had plenty of visitors. As my folks went in to look around, I spent my time taking peoples photos in front of the store.

They offered stuff in a few buildings, and you could look at their storage area in the back. It was a popular place, and my Mom's Facebook had some jealous people making comments.

In the end a few trinkets were purchased, along with some muffins, that I guess are featured in the show. I've not seen the show, but the muffins were good. But more importantly, Mom was happy, and that's all that ever counts in life.
