Copperas Cove school district is on the right track when it comes to showing love to the teachers!

Cove ISD is hooking employees up with a one time bonus around Christmas. Tuesday, the school board voted unanimously for full-time employees to receive a $1000 compensation while part-time employees will get $500.

Many people may have questions about the bonuses, but according to KWTX, this money was already set aside. Superintendent Joe Burns says bonuses will cost the district about $1.5 million, With strict guidelines on who will receive what, the transactions will be smooth, he says.

To considered for the bonus, employees have to be employed with the district until Dec. 18. Employees who started after Sept. 1 will receive a prorated amount, and those who are hired during December won't receive anything.

All teachers and staff members should receive a bonus; hopefully, other districts follow suit.
