When you live in a state that others go to for their vacation, it makes you think, where can I go?

Just a few miles of the coast of Belize is Bird Island. It's a really small island inside a coral reef. It has a "main" house and a side cabana. The renters say it can accommodate 4 guests, but that might be two too many.

It's not like you'll be "Tom Hanking" it. The cottage comes fully stocked. There is electricity, and even Wi-Fi. Of course, if you want to go native, you can always drop a line in the water and pull your meals yourself.
