AZ’s Top 10 List of Biggest Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Snubs

Let me start by saying I'm not a big fan of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I'm really not a fan of music awards shows either. I see music as art, and to pick a "winner" between artists and their art seems ridiculous. It's like saying that "this person's art is better than this person's". It makes no sense.

Having said that, I understand that people like to be recognized for the work they do and their contributions to their industry. Radio has a Hall of Fame too. So do toys and sports. For some of these HOF's, the best of the best should be recognized. But a HOF for music? Music is an expression, a feeling, not something that should be judged, but appreciated.

I personally don't like several genres of music. Some of them don't really connect with me. But it might for someone else, and that's good. I've heard someone say, "Variety is the spice of life and music is like a buffet." Well, I think that's how I heard it, but anyway, you get the point.

So let's talk about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and my picks for the biggest snubs.

To understand the snubs list a bit, it's important to know what it takes to be an artist inducted into the RnR HOF.  So according to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame page on Wiki, a committee made up of music historians select performers that are then voted on by so called "experts" from across the world. To even be one of the performers nominated, you have to have released a record 25 years or more prior.

Other criteria include the artists influence and contributions made to the development of Rock and Roll. Once the nominees are selected, they must get a minimum of 50% of the vote to be selected for introduction. Typically, around five to seven performers are inducted each year.

With that said, here is my list of the biggest "snubs" for the RnR HOF in no particular order.
