Alleged Murderer of Mother and Infant Arrested in Temple

Police report arrest made in the shooting deaths of a young mother and infant found at a local lake.

 KCEN is reporting that an arrest was made Tuesday evening in Temple. Temple Police, assisting the McLEnnan County Sheriff's Office, arrested a suspect in the deaths of Valarie Martinex, 24, and her infant child, Azariah, 1.

No name was released, but McLennan County Chief Deputy David Kilcrease said the suspect was the father of the child. He will be charged with Capital Murder.
