8 Texas Cities Ranked Among 25 Hardest Working in America
Thanks to our friends at WalletHub, we now know that the great state of Texas is home to eight of the top 25 "Hardest Working Cities" in these United States. Irving, Corpus Christi, Austin and Plano made the top 10 while Dallas, Ft Worth, Arlington and Houston finished in the top 25.
Turns out that the average worker here in the U.S. will put in 1,786 hours per year. That's 106 hours more than the average worker in Japan, 248 more than the U.K. worker, and 403 more than the German worker.
So how did Wallethub come up with these rankings? Lot's of different factors, including Average Workweek Hours, Share of Workers Leaving Vacation Time Unused, Average Commute Time, and Share of Workers with Multiple Jobs to name a few.
Today's economy is certainly proof that if you want to work, there are jobs out there, and if you want to work hard, well, you know what they say... "work hard, play harder". As for me, just getting out of bed can be hard work. Does that count?
