It took a few years for me to embrace a local fireworks display, but the city of Temple puts on a fine display each 4th of July.

The light show happens in Miller Park on the North East side of Temple. You have two choices if you live in the area. Leave town, or make it a party.

The whole area fills up fast as people literally park on both sides of the street making it one lane traffic on all the streets. A Big Q Tip for anyone trapped in the area at the time of the show. Just stay and enjoy the show. The stress of being the only car looking to leave while everyone is arriving just might kill you. So, again, if you don't like fireworks, stay out of North East Temple Thursday night.

If you do enjoy a good show, then, by all means, come to Temple Thursday night, but get here early so you can get a good spot for the show.
