A dream moment for a Pennsylvania 16-year-old over the weekend created a nightmare for parents trying to stop their kids from playing video games non stop.

Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf took home the 3 million dollar top prize at the 2019 Fortnite World Cup on Sunday. If that isn’t impressive enough, ponder the fact that he beat out 100 other players and an additional 40 million people who tried to qualify for the event.

If you are not familiar with the game, it consists of 100 people who parachute onto an island and then shoot it out until there is only one person left. For those of us over the age of 30, think movie “Highlander” – “There can be only one”.

Only no heads are being lopped off with swords.

Speaking of us old folks, check this out. The oldest player in the competition was 24. He said he was representing the “old dudes”. Seriously? Experts say, yes. Research shows that once we hit our early 20’s, hand eye coordination takes a nose dive.

So, if you have a kid who digs video games, you may want to let him/her do their thing. If they win a big tournament, it could save you a ton on college tuition.
