KWTX's Kathleen Serie reported that a suspect in a February 10 shooting in Harker Heights is now in custody.

The shooting left one man dead, and the gunman remained at large. Tuesday morning, 25-year-old Parish Dionte Young of Killeen turned himself in to Harker Heights authorities.

Jail records indicate Young was booked into the Bell County Jail at 11:51 AM Tuesday and charged with first degree murder. His bond was set at $1 million.

Young is accused of killing 35 year old Larry James Sterling of Killeen. The murder took place early morning on February 10th at the intersection of West Beeline Lane and South Roy Reynolds Drive in Harker Heights.

Someone passing by the crime scene called in after they saw Sterling's body lying at the scene around 2:40 a.m..The person who reported seeing the body at the scene originally thought Sterling may had just been intoxicated, but quickly discovered that he was actually unresponsive.
