$1 Million Bond For Harker Heights Woman Accused of Hit-And-Run
Bond has been set at $1 million for a Harker Heights woman charged in connection to a deadly November hit-and-run.
KWTX's Alex Cano reports that 60-year-old Sherry McCluer turned herself in to police Thursday evening after a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Online records indicate McCluer was booked into the Bell County jail at 7:40 PM Thursday. Her charge was listed at accident involving death - a second degree felony.
Police believe McCluer was a driving a Honda Element that struck 46-year-old Mario M. Tobar on the evening of November 5, 2017 as he was crossing South Army Lane, and that she did not stop after the collision. Tobar was later pronounced dead at Seton Medical Center.
