Texas Town’s Reaction to Mosque Burning Featured in Super Bowl

On January 28, 2017, the Victoria Islamic Center in Victoria, Texas was destroyed by a fire that was later ruled an arson.

Those left without a place of worship were welcomed into the local synagogue, and the Victoria community rallied to raise funds for their displaced neighbors, coming together in fellowship and prayer despite their differences.

The beautiful story of a Texas community refusing to let hate win was referenced in a MassMutual commercial that aired during last night's Super Bowl - a commercial that highlighted the good happening across our country every day.
