The Texas Longhorns offense is not in as much trouble as we feared. Sportsday reports that running back Keaontay Ingram is expected to play in the season opener against Lousiana Tech August 31st.

Ingram hurt his knee during Sunday's camp scrimmage and was immediately taken off the field. Addressing the media immediately head coach Tom Herman wasn't sure how serious the injury was, but that the team staff would take all steps to ensure the returning rushing leaders health.

Keaontay has a bruised knee bone and will still miss some practice time. Leaving just two scholarship backs on the practice field.

With a preseason ranking of 13th in the nation, Texas needs a complete offense to hold that position. Last year the offense was the teams Achilles heel.

There is no guarantee that the home opener against Tech will be a walk in the park. The horns need a complete focused team to start the year off right.
