Born in Columbus, Ohio, Simone Biles spent most of her childhood in Spring, Texas when she was adopted by her grandparents.

With her gymnastic career starting right here in the Great State of Texas, we can now say we are the home state of the first woman to complete the triple-double in competition!

The Olympic champion accomplished the historic feat while competing in the U.S. women's gymnastics championships on Sunday. Biles, of course, finished in first place.

ABC13 reports that she was nearly five points ahead of her closest competitor, making her so far ahead that the triple-double was not needed to win. Just adding icing to the cake.

The 22-year-old has been on top of the gymnastic world for the past six years, with a historic run in the 2016 Olympic games. Next year is once again an Olympic year. Could we see another triple-double on the biggest stage in gymnastics? I sure hope so.
