The suspect in a bank robbery that occurred Friday morning is still at large and police say he is considered armed and dangerous.

At 9:03 a.m. on Friday, Temple police responded to a robbery that just occurred at the Temple Santa Fe Community Credit Union at 1750 West Avenue A.  Officers arrived and learned a man had entered the bank, displayed a handgun and demanded money.  The man received an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot to the south.  There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build.  He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, eye glasses, a black shirt, and black shorts.

Officers searched the area on foot and in cars, but were unable to locate the suspect.  Detectives with the General Investigations Unit gathered evidence at the Credit Union and are assisting the FBI in this ongoing investigation.

The suspect in this case should be considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached.
