Right now, Texas is in the process of reopening in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Restaurants and retailers opened back up in early May, and gyms and pools are now open as well.

Life is slowly starting to seem normal again, though we still need to be aware that COVID-19 hasn’t vanished, and we should have safety, courtesy, and the health of our friends and neighbors top of mind.

That said, if you feel safe going out and can take precautions to help protect others, now’s the time to get out to your favorite local restaurant and enjoy the food and service you’ve been missing. Dining rooms are only operating at 25% of normal occupancy right now for safety, but it’s still great to see them open again.

Back when shutdowns were beginning, we asked local businesses to list themselves on our We’re Open page free of charge in order to let the people of Central Texas know what services they were still offering. Many of those businesses were restaurants, and we’re listing them here.

If your restaurant is open and serving, let us know using the form below  and we’ll add you to the list. If you appear here and need to make a change, use that same form to update us.

If you’re looking to go out and grab some grub, please remember to wash or sanitize your hands often, especially before you eat. Try to keep your distance from other parties as often as you can, and try to wear a mask when appropriate to protect vulnerable people. Just because they’re not there doesn’t mean that someone near you (possibly even your server) isn’t going home to someone susceptible to the worst complications of COVID-19.

Together, we can continue to slow the spread of the virus while getting back to our lives.
