Man Killed Trying to Cross West Central Texas Expressway

Police are trying to figure out more information surrounding the investigation of a fatal accident that involved a pedestrian struck and killed trying to walk across West Central Texas Expressway in Harker Heights.

The 29-year-old man's name has not yet been released. News 10 reports that he was trying to cross West Central Texas Expressway just before 4 am Saturday morning.

While crossing the expressway he was hit by the driver of a 2013 Hyundai Genesis in the 800 block of eastbound West Central Texas Expressway. That's very close to Seton Harker Heights Medical Center. The mas was crossing an unlighted section of the highway. It did not help matters that the man struck was wearing all dark clothing.
