If you need an inspiring story about humanity, then you've found the right one.

According to a report from KXAN, Fredericksburg High School seniors recently donated almost $11,000 to their local food pantry. Originally the money was raised for the senior class trip to Six Flags Fiesta Texas, but with the current state of affairs, the students found a better use of the funds.

Over the course of 4 years, these students raised $10,850, but on May 18 they donated their entire class trip fund to the Fredericksburg Food Pantry.  Class officers knew that they wanted the money to go to something memorable, and together they decided that the Fredericksburg Food pantry would benefit the most from their contribution.

In a statement to KXAN, Class Vice- President Amy Dittmar explained:

“I think we’re all just kind of hungry for something good. Knowing that we were able to do something this good and this impactful, just seeing people smile right now, is just the best thing ever. The look on the woman from the food pantry’s face when we donated the money…that was just so worth it all the way.”

Way to go guys. Truly inspiring!
