Cove is ready to Clean Up!

Their annual City-Wide Fall Clean-Up and B.O.P.A. (Batteries, Oil,
Paint, Antifreeze) the event happens on Saturday, November 21st from 8 am to 12 pm.

Copperas Cove residents and business owners will be granted two FREE visits per
utility account to Solid Waste, located at 2605 South FM 116, to dispose of household trash and waste.

According to their press release, you will be required to show current proof of residency.

They are accepting basic household trash and junk, brush and yard waste, appliances, computers (including monitors, keyboards, and mice) recycling, cooking oil, tires, and B.O.P.A (Batteries, Oil, Paint, Antifreeze).

If you bring a a freezer, refrigerator, or air conditioner, the compressor must be removed.

You can bring two tires without rims to be disposed of for free. If you bring more than two, you'll be charged $3 per tire for 17" and below and $7 per tire for 17.5" and above. There'll be an additional $20 charge if the rims are left on, so be sure you take those off unless you really need to get rid of them and are willing to pay the fee.

Construction debris and other various household hazardous waste items will NOT be
accepted during this event. Take a look at the flyers for this event using the button below for more information.

If you have any questions or concerns, call Solid Waste at (254) 547-4242

Again, this an opportunity to dispose of these items safely and responsibly. You don't want them sitting around your house, garage, or storage shed anymore taking up space, but none of us want to see them dumped on the side of the road.
