Every Halloween the greatest debate among children and any candy lover out there is: What is the best Halloween candy?!

Personally, I love Reese’s Peanut Butter cups and anything gummy! Gummy worms, gummy bears, gummy rings! I love them all! For some people, chocolate candies are the way to go, then you have others who love good ole fashioned lollipops or any other hard candy.

Well, there’s a new report confirming what most of us already knew about Halloween candy: That candy corn is the worst candy of Halloween! But cany corn isn’t solo on the list.

Candy Corn Makes The Worst List AGAIN:

A new report from Parade.com has confirmed that licorice took the top spot for “most-hated,” Halloween candy with consumer interest dropping a whopping 13.6% this year. Candy corn wasn’t far behind, falling 9.1%.

But don’t worry, not all candy news is bad candy news. Some sweets are very much loved by trick-or-treaters this year. Haribo gummies saw a 48% jump in interest, proving chewy bears are way more delicious than waxy triangles every time. And, plot twist: Baby Ruth bars are back! The classic chocolate-nut combo is up 42%, making the grandpa’s of the world jumping with joy- or not because that now means their candy drawers may get broken into by little candy monsters!

Hershey’s Kisses are also making the top list of Halloween candy we love, rising 37%. Meanwhile, trendy treats like matcha cookies (+139%) and candy bark (+11%) are the new kids on the block.

So, this Halloween, do your trick-or-treaters a favor and skip the candy corn and maybe throw in a few gummy bears!
