These Texas Airports Have the Best Restaurants You’ll Want to Visit
Texas has some incredible restaurants for you to visit; doesn't matter if you're on a road trip or even flying through the airport. There are several options to choose from in any city you're flying through in Texas & these are the best ones to visit today.
Some of the best places to eat in the Dallas airport
If you've been to the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, one place that the Food Network recommends is the Abacus Jaspers restaurant found at gate D22 (spoiler alert: this won't be the only Texas restaurant they recommend).
Other spots in the Dallas/Fort Worth airport you can find include:
- The Salt Lick Bar-Be-Cue at A16,
- The Twisted Root at A24,
- Cantina Laredo at B29,
- The Blue Rodeo at B32
- Bleu Mediterranean at C10,
- Pappasito’s Cantina at C19,
- Flying Saucer Draught Emporium at D20,
- Drew Pearson’s Sports 88 at E5
- Love Shack at E12 & there are many more to choose from.
Best places to eat at Houston's airports
A very popular spot chosen by Food Network is Hugo's Cantina located at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport at Gate D6. USA Today put the Landry's Seafood at #2 on their top 10 list from 2024. You can find a full list of restaurants at George Bush here.
As someone who flew into Houston's William P Hobby Restaurant, some places that were around me were the GastroHub, Pink Pizza, Peets Coffee & Tea, LaTrelles's Tex-Mex & a spot from Dallas, the Velvet Taco. You can find more restaurants at William P Hobby here.
Austin's airport also has some great places to eat
While Dallas & Houston might have the "best" places to eat while flying in Texas, the Food Network also recommended a spot in Austin's Bergstorm International Airport: the Peached Tortilla found between Gates 7 & 8. I also recommend is Amy's Ice Cream & the Saxon Pub and Earl Campbell’s Taco Trucks (that's where people can enjoy live music INSIDE the airport on the Asleep at the Wheel stage).
Of course there are many more places you can find all over Texas so keep your eyes open next time you're waiting for your flight! You might just discover a hidden gem inside the terminal.
