Homecoming season is here in the Lone Star state! All across Texas, students are showing off their homecoming mums- and it seems like every year, they get bigger and bigger, not to mention expensive!

Every year, trendy homecoming mums take over all social media; sometimes it's because they light up, sometimes they play music, and sometimes they're bigger than the actual student!

But now, a new trend will probably be taking over and it's all thanks to this North Texas mom!

Over in Aledo, Texas, Kristian Recio created the cutest, and most unique, homecoming mums you can think of: a homecoming mum for your Stanley cup!

Stanley Cups have become the most important accessory these days- don't leave home without it! In schools all across the country, they've become the IT accessory and now, your Stanley Cup won't have to be left out during homecoming!

As you can see, they come in different styles and are very customizable!

Obviously, this quickly gained traction- who wouldn't want a mum for their cup? Over on her design page, Recio had to close orders for September as she was inundated with orders!

While it may seem silly, it's definitely a unique and fun idea- I'm sure it won't take long before your local mum-creator starts making these! The tradition of the Homecoming mum started in Texas back in the 1950s and 1960s according to Country Living. Now what's seen as an over-the-top adornment to a homecoming dress started out as a sweet, simple tradition. A small token, like a corsage, given to a girl by her date for homecoming week.
