FBI Catch Con Man, Look For Victims In Texas
A con man pulled several investment fraud schemes across the USA, including Texas. The FBI caught him, now they need to round up his Texas victims.
A guy named "Matt" Thrash ... cool name, sh***y person ... conned people in several states including Texas pretending to be a successful business man with all kinds of sure fire, "golden" investment opportunities.
Some of his scams included a fake sports management company and a fake sports memorabilia store. He even sold fake stock in cannabis dispensaries. That's low ... fake pot money? Just plain evil.
Why Does The FBI Need Help Finding Victims?
The guy used many different BS tactics from 2012 - 2024 to steal peoples money and the FBI is worried that some of those taken may not yet realize what's happened or are too embarrassed to admit they fell for it.
A critical component of his schemes was presenting himself as a successful businessman with lucrative investment opportunities. Individuals should not be embarrassed if they invested in one of his schemes. We encourage you to come forward so that you can receive assistance and help us hold him accountable in a court of law,” said FBI Dallas Acting Special Agent in Charge P. J. O’Brien. - KTSM
If you feel that you, or someone you know, fell victim to this guy, the The FBI’s Lufkin Resident Agency in East Texas would like to talk to you. Whether you were victimized or just have info you feel they should know, you can reach them here.
