Texas Teenager Now Charged In Sunday Afternoon Murder
Eddy, Texas is described by many including residents as a quiet Central Texas town that is barely more than an exit 314 along Interstate 35 near the confluence of Bell, McClennan, and Falls County lines. This past Sunday, January 5th, 36 year old Dustin Nobles was shot and killed just after noon out front of a residence off Old Moody Road.

According to this KCEN article, Nobles was at or near the home of a teenager identified as 18 year old Brandon Davis, and Davis ordered Nobles to leave. When Nobles did not comply, Davis returned into the home and came back with a .22 caliber rifle.
Why Is 18 Year Old Texas Teenager Brandon Davis Charged With Murder?
After a verbal confrontation, Davis told McClennan County authorities that he shot Nobles, who was then declared dead with an hour. Not a lot of details are known for why Nobles was at Davis's residence, why the disagreement escalated, but it is believed the gun was presented as an effort on Davis's part to get Nobles to leave before he was shot.

At this point, Davis is being held at the McClennan County Jail on a $750,000 cash bond, and it will likely be some time before his case moves forward as the prosecutors and police are still early in their investigation. What is known is a man is dead, and you can't help but imagine it likely could have been avoided.
