Many of the brick and mortar retailers that are closing stores while putting off or combatting bankruptcy have made claims that just because underperforming stores are closing, it does not mean the company is struggling as a whole. One of the biggest, if not largest, Foot Locker on the planet is in Fort Worth as a stand alone store, but so many are still a staple of the local shopping malls. When this article was written there were about 1,300 total Foot Locker locations in America's shopping malls, and according to this Fox Business article, the company is closing about 1/3 of their mall locations right now through the end of next year.
