All Texas Costco Members Impacted By Massive New Changes

There are 38 Costco stores in Texas, and some massive changes are on the way for each of those locations and all of their current members.

Before you begin guessing all the additional ways Costco could change their stores, none of these changes will include creating a uniform experience, and even if you have mastered your favorite store's layout, you are probably safe continue to expect a perpetual rearranging of products and aisles.

Costco has a few different membership levels from business to gold star, and their premium level which is called executive.

Have never been a business member, but every year at renewal time, my wife and I set up a mini risk cost analysis to determine if we are going to renew at gold star or executive.

As you can see with this first membership increase in price since 2017, the executive level is still double that of gold star. The major benefit of the executive membership is the ability to earn cash back.

Often the argument for executive level is you pretty much pay for the higher level membership because your cash back usually exceeds the price point difference.

Whether you are currently a member or not, I do have a pretty neat hack for you. If you are due to renew after September 1st (no matter what your current membership level is), it is my personal experience that they will offer you additional incentives to upgrade to executive if you only choose to renew as a gold star.

If you do not currently have a Costco membership, you have until August 31st to get one to save on the price, and still get nearly an entire year before you will have to renew at the adjusted price.
