If you had won last night's Powerball for over a 1/2 billion dollars, what business would you bring to Killeen-Temple, Texas?

We're very blessed to have so many brands easily accessible in Central Texas. The food options alone do not leave much for wanting. As a kid who was born hungry, it is really enjoyable to try out all the eateries, and sometimes get a little bummed that there isn't the time and money to go even more often.

What businesses would you add? Have a few suggestions for 5 categories, what other categories would you add?

Grocery Stores

Would love to see a Trader Joe's open somewhere conveniently located around Belton. Know you're going to be surprised, but it's their wine and CHEESE section that does it for me.

Whole Foods would also be nice. 2 words: Micro. Greens.

Entertainment for Adults

Please do not confuse this with adult entertainment. Think something like Dave & Busters.

Yes, there's 1 in Austin, and even closer in Waco, but wouldn't it be great to have our own Top Golf?

Indoor Waterpark

Do not know about your kids, but mine want to go swimming all the time. Yes, even on days in January when we started with frost on our windshields.

Kalahari has a location fairly close in Round Rock, but that is at least an hour less of fun with the drive.

Schlitterbahn is what we really need. Make those Waco and Austin people come to us for once.

Minor League Baseball

Semi-pro is great, and so are college summer leagues, but imagine if we had our own A or AA team. We could see way more baseball, and still take those weekend trips to Houston and Arlington. Rehab assignments are especially neat to see when the big leaguer is coming off the injured list.

Food

We have tons of great places to eat, and many of them serve incredible burgers. However, as someone who grew up on sliders, how great would a White Castle or Krystal be?

Top 20 Restaurants Central Texans Wish Would Come to Temple

A while back, I asked the good people of Temple if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.

This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).

So now Dutch Bros. is open in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.

Here are the top 20 results of the survey. Let's see what the good people of Temple are craving!
