Killeen Food Truck Park Tells Tenants To Leave In 30 Days
According to KXXV, vendors from the park were understandably caught off guard when they weere told they needed to leave the park in the next 30 days. Benjamin O’Neal, who co-owns Simply Good Burger, could not understand what changes in a conversation with KXXV:
”About a week ago, I was under the impression that I was going to sign a five-year lease."
O'Neal also told KXXV that " The Food Park was created because of giving other businesses opportunity that they normally didn’t have...It's bigger than just a food park you know, we’re a family.”
But the question that remains is simple, why exactly did this happen?
Is There A Reason For The Removal Of Trucks From The Food Truck Park?
KXXV revealed, from the manager of property that their belief is that property will be transformed into something else, which in turn requires the trucks to leave. The manager also added the choice for the removal of the trucks was not a personal one.
However, the decision still isn't easy to take by those who take residence in the area. Tim Ferch of Thia Law food truck was sad about the loss of the specific location they're located:
"Even if you don’t know where we are, you’ve got somebody that tells another person hey, go down that road and you’ll see a pink truck.”
