For the third year in a row, The Largest Golden Retriever Meetup in Texas hosted one of the most joyous events in the world. Over 1,700 golden retrievers brought their humans from all over the country to Star Hill Ranch in Bee Cave, Texas for a day filled with golden retriever fun and events.

Exponential Growth: From Humble Beginnings to Massive Gathering

The Largest Golden Retriever Meetup in Texas started in 2023 with 341 of the dogs in attendance. It more than doubled in 2024 when almost 800 goldens showed up, and this year attendance more than doubled again when over 1,750 of Texas' favorite breed of dog came together for a fun filled day of dog loving competitions and activities.

Fun for All Paws: Activities and Canine Competitions

The event brought golden retrievers and their owners together in an event where the dogs were able to get a chance to race in a 50-foot dog run, they competed in an Airbud Look-a-like Contest, and they enjoy several different fenced in off-leash areas including a Toy Run area where the dogs were able to pick their favorite toy and take home with them when they left. They were also a couple of different photo ops available with western themed and Golden Retriever themed photo booths at the location.

More Than Just Play: A Charitable Cause at Heart

The World's Largest Golden Retriever Meetup isn't just an opportunity for the dogs and their people to hangout and bask in the glory of the greatest dog breed that has ever existed. The Meetup is a charity event that raises money for Gold Ribbon Rescue. In 2024 they were able to raise $7,000, and this year they far exceeded that by raising $20,000.

Congratulations to the World's Largest Golden Retriever Meetup for raising such a substantial amount of money for a good cause. Hopefully next year is even more successful!
