Let's all be real for a moment here: betting on sports teams is such a difficult thing to do isn't it? There are so many variables in play during a game that we don't factor into making a bet on something. The amount of money we place also is something we must think about.

Put too much down and your wallet will hurt for a while. Put a little down and win, well at least you won right? Regardless of everything involved, there's one individual that we all know who puts down money on various Texas teams.

His name? Jim McIngvale. Otherwise known to many in the nation as Mattress Mack.

According to the San Antonio Express-News, Mack recently did hit the Jackpot many of us we wish we could hit. He bet on the Houston Astros to defeat the Philadelphia Phillies in the Fall Classic. He won a spectacular $75 million winning that bet!

So when with that win, why not put down some more money on other Texas teams? Well, about that...those bets didn't really pan out the way Mack had planned. The Express-News reported that Mack beat on TCU in the National Championship, and came up with $3 million dollar loss.

The Dallas Cowboys also didn't help in his winning ways. He put down $2 million on the Cowboys defeating the 49ers:

Now of course, this bet was placed in Louisiana because sports gambling in Texas is illegal. But unfortunately, regardless of where the bet was places, the Cowboys failed to defeat to 49ers, so Mack lost his $2 million.
