Warming Center Is Open Tonight In Killeen, Texas
As the weather continues with, its cold front here in Texas the city of Killeen has released a statement on partnering with Friends In Crisis.
THE CITY OF KILLEEN AND THE FRIENDS IN CRISIS ARE TEAMED UP FOR THE CITY
The city of Killeen and Friends Crisis will still be providing an enhanced overnight warming center at the Friends in Crisis shelter located at 412 E. Sprottv St. for anyone in need tonight at 8 PM until Saturday, January 11 at 11 AM. The policy for the city of Killeen is to open the warming center if the temperature or the windchill factor is lower than 32°.
HERE ARE OTHER PLACES OPEN TO THE PUBLIC IN KILLEEN TO WARM UP AT
The National Weather Service will decide as soon as possible and no later than 3 PM on the day and overnight center will be open. Residences in the city of Killeen are reminded that City Hall, libraries, the recreation center, police headquarters, etc. are open to the public as well. If any citizens would like to donate water, they are asked to drop it off at the Killeen fire station as well as the north precinct police station downtown at 402 N. 2nd St. and to notify the staff that it is for the cooling centers.
