
Killeen Police Involved in Shooting: Suspect Shot, No Officers Injured
According to KCENTV, the Killeen police department is investigating a shooting that took place that involved an officer. The police stated that the shooting was located on the 2600 block of Larissa Drive. Chief Pedro Lopez stated that there was a 24-year-old young man who was shot multiple times by the police but was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

There was a search warrant for the home, and when the police officers approached the house, that is when they encountered the individual Lopez stated. Chief Lopez also commented that for officer safety, they decided to pat down the suspect, and that’s when they discovered he had a weapon, a semi-automatic firearm in his pocket. In a struggle, the officers discharged their firearms, striking the suspect several times.

When the Killeen Police Department released their press statement, the department said that the occupant of the home did allow officers as well as two secret service agents inside, and that’s where they intended to conduct a consensual interview with the individual. Once the multiple shootings took place, the 24-year-old individual was flown to Baylor Scott and White in critical condition at around 5 PM. The area had been secure.
