Questions Raised About Who Caused Harm To Marlin High School’s Legion Field
Before the new year in Texas, Marlin High School was defaced by an unknown individual. Here's what is know at the time of writing.
What Was Discovered In Damages To Marlin High School?
The damages were revealed in a post to social media by Marlin ISD. According to the post:
"The parking lot was littered with trash and fireworks, gates were broken, and soccer goals were displaced.
Most alarmingly, several gun shell casings were found throughout the parking lot."
In addition to this, the school's brand new scoreboard was harmed. Per the post:
"The new scoreboard has been damaged, possibly due to a gunshot or fireworks. The top left panels are now non-functional."
How Did Marlin ISD And The Community Respond To The Damages?
As revealed by KXXV, many in the area were disappointed in finding out what occurred on the school grounds. Another post by the district stated the following:
"Please be advised that all Marlin ISD properties, including Legion Field, are considered private school district property. Unauthorized presence on any district property is strictly prohibited and constitutes trespassing. In Texas, criminal trespassing is defined as knowingly entering private property without the owner's consent. No Trespassing signs have been placed at Legion Field in accordance with Texas Law."
At the time of writing, KXXV has revealed police are not conducting inquires into the situation. The school district itself is seeking new security choices to prevent further issues.
