This year’s theme, "We the Culture," highlights unity, heritage, and pride. The event will take place from 3 PM to 8 PM at the Killeen East Center, and it’s all about celebrating community, culture, and history.

As we gather, we remember that Juneteenth marks a pivotal moment in U.S. history—the formal emancipation of enslaved African Americans in Texas on June 19, 1865, when over 250,000 people were declared free by the U.S. Army. Texas was the last state to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation, making this a deeply meaningful celebration.
