Educate, Celebrate, Elevate: Killeen's 8th Annual Juneteenth
As we gather, we remember that Juneteenth marks a pivotal moment in U.S. history—the formal emancipation of enslaved African Americans in Texas on June 19, 1865, when over 250,000 people were declared free by the U.S. Army. Texas was the last state to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation, making this a deeply meaningful celebration.
History lives here—right in your city. Come out, celebrate, learn, and make lasting memories with your loved ones.
