After the Killeen Independent School District experienced a tragic incident where a young lady was stabbed and killed at Roy Smith Middle School, changes have been made, according to KWTX. Frederick Lilly II was the principal of Roy J. Smith Middle School at the time of the incident. In late March, he decided to submit his resignation following the stabbing of Serenity Baker. This event caused an uproar in the community, and before leaving, Lilly wrote a letter stating that he was no longer in the correct mental state to continue his role as principal.
