
Longtime Killeen Official Jeffery Reynolds Set to Retire
The City of Killeen says farewell, but hopefully not goodbye forever, to Assistant City Manager Jeffrey Reynolds. The city released a statement announcing Reynolds’ retirement after more than a decade of service to the community. Reynolds joined the City of Killeen in 2014 and has served in several key leadership roles, most recently as Assistant City Manager since September 2025.

During his tenure, Reynolds made a significant impact by advancing operations across multiple departments, including engineering, community development, and public works. He began his career with the city as a mowing and drainage manager in the Environmental Services Department and was later promoted to Director of Public Works in 2017.

Reynolds also played a key role in the development and implementation of the city’s accident prevention plan, helping improve workplace safety and ensure compliance with state regulations. In addition, he contributed to major updates to the city’s master plans for streets, water, wastewater, solid waste, and drainage. Reynolds’ retirement will be effective May 15.
