Texas pet owners are told to be very careful when purchasing food for their dogs or cats. News Week released a statement on how there has been a recall by online food, and pet food subscription site Viva Raw for several products due to a risk of bacteria contamination.

Viva turkey for dogs, ground, viva, turkey for dogs, chunk, viva, turkey for cats, viva, pure turkey and beef, and puppies are products that have been manufactured under lot number 21244. Viva Raw l is an online service that ships out your pet's food to your homes and has a scheduled subscription plan for customers. Recently it was stated that once the FDA conducted a sample testing of the product, the samples from lot 21244 were found positive for the bacteria Listeria.
WHAT IS THIS DANGEROUS BACTERIA?
This particular bacteria is usually found in, milk, cheese, ice cream, raw or processed vegetables, raw or processed fruits, raw or uncooked, poultry, sausages, hotdogs, deli meats, and raw or smoked seafood or fish. The effects that this bacteria has on humans are usually a lot of vomiting, eggs to the body, fever, diarrhea, and nausea, but pets being exposed to the contaminated food usually show symptoms in the feces and the saliva. Texans are told if their pet has eaten the recalled product and has symptoms of the dangerous bacteria Listeria, please contact a veterinarian as soon as possible. This may save your fur baby's life.
