BEWARE TEXAS: According to Contagion Live, Snap Hill LLC released a voluntary recall on over 200 canned coffee products due to contamination with Botulism toxins. This toxin is a very deadly neurotoxin that can form in low-acid canned foods. The products recalled with their expiration dates are sold under various coffee roster names all over the country.

Big Iron, Cape Cod, coffee, and Bold Bean are included in this recall. The Food and Drug Administration also known as the FDA notified the company Snaphill about the issue once it was discovered that the manufacturing process for the products was categorized as low acid and we were not appropriately, registered with the FDA as required by regulations. There have been no illnesses as of yet due to these products and again the company has initiated the recall as a precautionary measure to ensure every consumer's safety.
WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF THIS DANGEROUS TOXIN?
This toxin is a rare but deadly illness that can cause potent toxins to attack an individual's nerves in the body. The toxins are so strong that they can lead to muscle paralysis, difficulty breathing, and in rare cases, death. If the toxin is ingested, the results can be very severe. Individuals have blurred vision, bulbar, and weakness, and even when consuming the product, symmetric paralysis can progress very rapidly. It only takes 18 to 36 hours after eating contaminated items for your paralysis to progress very rapidly. However, sometimes symptoms can start as soon as six hours after or up to 10 days later. Texans are told to please be cautious when purchasing these products.
