Belton Emergency Crews Remain at Scene of House Fire
The fire reportedly occurred in the 100 block of W. 13th Street, officials stated. At approximately 3:44 a.m. Thursday morning, Belton firefighters responded to the location after reports of a house fire. Officials said the fire began at the front of the home and was quickly extinguished by crews on the scene.

The Temple Fire & Rescue also assisted by sending several units after receiving a request for additional support. Authorities stated that the home was rendered uninhabitable due to the damage caused by the fire.

Sadly, the two dogs died at the scene from smoke inhalation. Officials also confirmed that no firefighters or residents were injured during the incident.
