3 Of The Most Beautiful Places In The U.S. Reside In Texas
It seems to be a constant these days. You know, lists coming out about the top whatever in the country, and Texas is always all over them.
Whether the list be the best or the worst of something, we find ourselves smack in the middle of it. However, this is a good list, and kind of a cool one.
Recently, a home magazine named House Beautiful released a list of the 35 most beautiful places in the United States, and Texas was the proud recipient of three of them.
There was one missing that I was relatively surprised about, and that was Palo Duro Canyon. However, there are three incredible places on this list, so let's dive into them.
BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK
Located in Brewster County, Big Bend National Park checked in at number 10 on the list overall, and ranked as the most beautiful place in Texas.
Known for its incredible views and scenery, it's also home to incredible sunrises and sunsets, and you can even find dinosaur bones and sea fossils there.
Cap it off with the diverse scene of wildlife and different types of plants and you've got yourself the most beautiful place in Texas.
SAN ANTONIO RIVERWALK
This is one I've personally been to several times, and I can attest to the beauty of the San Antonio Riverwalk. It checks in at number 23 overall and the second most beautiful place in Texas.
This river that stretches 15 miles through the city is lush with trees and boats that slowly ride down it.
Surrounded by different businesses to go shopping in and restaurants where you can sit outside, and enjoy a meal and cold beverage while enjoying the scenery, you can't go wrong with the #1 attraction in Texas.
KLYDE WARREN PARK
Located in Dallas, Klyde Warren Park lands at number 24 on the list overall, and the third most beautiful destination in Texas.
So what makes it so beautiful? How about the fact that it's the world's largest suspended infrastructure to contain a park. It was built above Woodall Rodgers Freeway that is lush with plant life.
Inside the park, you'll find a 5.4-acre green space that is home to 37 native and non-native plant species, not to mention the 247 trees that adorn the area. You'll also find a restaurant, stage, fountains, and a dog park to enjoy.
