Top 10 Most Fined NFL Teams Last Season: Texas has Two!
I'm sure we all are well aware of how Superbowl LIX went between the Philadelphia Eagles and Texas Tech's star child Patrick Mahomes with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Did you also know that two Philadelphia players were fined during the Superbowl? Defensive lineman Milton Williams was slapped with a $14,069 fine for unsportsmanlike conduct after dunking the football over the crossbar after a sack against Mahomes towards the end of the game.
The other fine was for Eagles rookie Jalyx Hunt for a "bow-and-arrow" celebration after a separate sack against the Chiefs. This fine totaled $5,690, but Hunt used the opportunity to raise money for a charity of his choosing: Barbers Who Care.
So, when it comes to NFL fines, which teams have received the most? Well, Texas takes the cake (and paid for it) as an NFL team in the Lone Star State holds the number one spot for most fined in NFL history. So, let's begin.
Most Fined NFL Teams Last Season
According to Action Network, the Dallas Cowboys received a total of $405,947 in fines from last season. That's all well and good until you see the other Texas team in the top 10 list.
The Houston Texans actually took the number one spot for the most fined in the 2024-25 NFL season. They received a whopping $3,153,652 in fines!
Action Network explains that $2,000,000 are due to the PED (performance-enhancing drugs) violation by Denico Autry which also led to his six-game suspension, but that still leaves over $1,000,000 in fines for the Texans.
This STILL outpaces the number two spot held by the LA Chargers with just over $900,000 in fines. You can see the full list from the Action Network website.
So, the next time you see either of these Texas teams on the field, make sure you have your calculator handy...
